Launch ABBYY FlexiCapture

The server and processing station services start automatically. The stations and the Processing Server can be either running or stopped.Start the Processing Server from the Processing Server Monitor. Either you start a Processing Station yourself, or the Processing Server starts it automatically when you select the corresponding settings.To monitor and control the Processing Server and the Application Server, select the following items from the Start menu:
  • Start → All Programs → ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Servers → Processing Server to start the Processing Server Monitor.
  • Start → All Programs → ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Servers → Administration and Monitoring Console to open the main page of the console in your browser and control the Application Server.
To start an ABBYY FlexiCapture station, select the corresponding menu item from Start → All Programs → ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Stations.

Registry keys

Use the registry keys in Shell\StartUp to control how the application starts.The registry does not include these keys by default. The Administrator can add them to the registry of the user’s operating system. The corresponding command line parameters override these keys.

Command line parameters

Use the following parameters to start a station from the command line:
  • path to FlexiCapture.exe – For example, C:\Program Files (x86)\ABBYY FlexiCapture Stations\FlexiCapture.exe.
  • /Station:(Setup,Validator,RemoteValidator,Verificator) – Specifies the station: Project Setup Station, Verification Station, Remote Verification Station, or Data Verification Station respectively. If you do not specify a mode, the program prompts you to select one at startup.
  • /Project:"path to project" – Sets the project that opens automatically at startup.
  • /Batch:"batch name" – Sets the batch that opens automatically at startup. You may need to open a particular batch in the Project Setup Station. Other stations operate with queues.
  • /ProhibitChangePath – Prohibits changing the batch and project that open automatically in Operator mode.

Open the registry branch

In the station you want, open HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ABBYY\FlexiCapture\12.0\Shell\MRU_List.

Read the List key

The List key holds the projects that station has opened.

Copy the server path

From the value of the key, copy the path to the project on the server: https://<ApplicationServer>/<guid>/<project name>.
Enclose the project name in quotes when you pass it as a command line parameter.For example, to open the Invoices_eng project from the server in the Verification Station, use the following command:
