Install IIS, .NET Framework, and SQL Server
Internet Information Services (IIS) and Microsoft .NET Framework are installed via the Server Manager console (Start → All programs → Administrative Tools → Server Manager):- In Server Manager, click Add roles and features.
- In the Server Roles list, select Web Server (IIS).

Install Microsoft SQL Server from the setup package

Run Autorun.exe
Start
Autorun.exe from the ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 setup package.2
Launch the SQL Server installer
Click 1. Distributed Installation → 1. Install External Components → Microsoft SQL Server 2016 SP1 Express.

Specify the SQL Server settings
- Named instance – For example, SQLExpress.
- Authentication Mode – Mixed Mode, which is SQL Server authentication and Windows authentication.
- The password for the SQL Server system administrator (sa) account and for SQL Server administrators.
Install servers

Start the server installation
On the Autorun menu, click 1. Distributed Installation → 2. Install Servers and follow the install wizard.

Select the components
In the Custom Setup dialog box, select the following:
- Processing Server
- Protection Server
- Application Server, including Web Stations

Specify a destination folder
Choose where to install the servers.
- The License Manager utility, where you activate your serial number. For more information, see Manage your licenses.
- The Administration and Monitoring Console, where you set up the Application Server. For more information, see Set up an evaluation installation.
Install stations

Start the station installation
On the Autorun menu, click 1. Distributed Installation → 2. Install Workstations and follow the setup wizard.

Select the components and a destination folder
In the Custom Setup dialog box, select the components you want. All of them are selected by default.

Keep the default Protection Server location
In the Protection Server Location dialog box, leave the value at
127.0.0.1.4
Choose the processing service account
In the User account dialog box, select Default account (NT AUTHORITY\Network Service).
