The Activation Wizard is a dialog box that provides a simple interface for activating ABBYY FlexiCapture. During the activation process, the Activation Wizard generates a Product ID from all the information required for activation and sends it to ABBYY. This activation information does not include any private data about you or your computer that could be used to identify you.
The Processing Server must be running and connected to the Application Server. It carries the traffic between the Licensing Server and the Application Server, so activation cannot finish without it.

Activate your license

Enter your serial number

Provide your 24-character serial number and click Next.

Select an activation method

If you already have a license file from an earlier email request, click Load activation file and specify the path to it (*.ABBYY.License).

Activate the license

Click Next.
After activation completes, you can run ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 on the server. Reinstalling ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 does not require you to activate again. The stations connect to the Licensing Server automatically and use the existing license.

Connect stations to the Licensing Server

The Processing Server, Project Setup Station, and Verification Stations connect to the Licensing Server directly. They read its address from LicensingSettings.xml in the FlexiCapture installation folder, in the ServerAddress tag of the MainNetworkLicenseServer attribute.
Moving the Licensing Server to a different computer means changing its address in LicensingSettings.xml on the stations. If you use license files, you must also activate your licenses again.
All other stations receive licensing information from the Application Server. That includes remote stations, web stations, Scanning Stations, and Data Verification Stations.
