Stations installed by default
By default, the setup wizard installs all seven stations on one computer. Like the servers, they can also be spread across several.Install stations on different computers
In the Setup Type dialog box, clear the boxes next to the stations you do not want on this computer. Two station groups prompt for extra detail as they install:- Processing Station – The wizard asks which account runs the Processing Station service. It defaults to
NETWORK SERVICE. If the station imports or exports data to a storage location with restricted permissions, specify a user that holds those permissions. - FlexiLayout Studio, FormDesigner, Verification Station, and Project Setup Station – The wizard asks for the Licensing Server. Give its name or IP address, without
\\, for exampleMainServer.
Install remote stations
Remote stations connect to ABBYY FlexiCapture servers from computers outside your LAN, over HTTP or HTTPS. The Verification Station, the Data Verification Station, and the Scanning Station can all run remotely. To install one, click Distributed Installation on the Autorun menu, click the remote station, and follow the instructions of the setup wizard. Remote stations used over the Internet have two extra requirements:- The Application Server must be reachable over the Internet. The Processing Server must be running, so it can exchange information with the Licensing Server.
- To use basic authentication for remote stations, allow basic authentication in IIS under
Default Web Site\FlexiCapture12\Server.
