ABBYY FlexiCapture supports the following classification profiles:
  • Image
This profile is suitable for documents that have apparent visual differences. You can use this profile for documents that a human can identify just by looking at them, without reading their text, such as passports and driver’s licenses.
  • Text
This profile is suitable for documents that are not visually distinct and need to be read in order to be identified. This profile uses OCR and statistical and semantic analysis to classify documents with different text content, such as various types of contracts.
  • Combined
This profile is a combination of the Text and Image profiles. It can operate in one of two modes, fast or thorough:
  • In fast mode, ABBYY FlexiCapture first applies the Image profile and then uses the Text profile for documents that have been classified with low confidence.
  • In thorough mode, ABBYY FlexiCapture applies both the Image and Text profiles simultaneously.
