A form can be exported to PDF only if it has at least one editable field.
Before distributing a form electronically, export it to PDF. You can add response buttons to the form. Clicking a response button sends the completed form to a specified address. After exporting to PDF, you can edit the form in other PDF editors, such as Adobe Acrobat Professional. To export a form to PDF, click File → Export To → PDF Form….

Choose response buttons

In the Ways to Get Responses dialog box, choose whether to add response buttons to the form. The buttons appear in the top left corner of the first page. Select one, both, or none of the following:
  • Send responses by e-mail – Specify an e-mail address.
  • Send responses over the Internet – Specify a URL.
  • Clear form data – Deletes all data from the form.
For each button, specify your own text or use the suggested text. You can also set the button position to Top, Bottom, or Top and bottom.

Set the file name and folder

In the Export to PDF dialog box, specify a file name and the folder where you want to save the file.

Set advanced options (optional)

Click Advanced… at the bottom of the Export to PDF dialog box. In the PDF file options dialog box, you can set:
  • Save mode – Text only or image only.
  • Font settings – System fonts or standard fonts.
  • Embed fonts – Embeds fonts in the form.
