What is stored in the Reporting Database?

While a document is being processed, the ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Reporting service logs all processing events and records all document editing facts. After processing is complete, the service uses the gathered information to compute document processing statistics and to list all the changes made to the document.

How long does it take for a processed document to appear in a report?

Detailed information about a processed document is added to the Reporting Database within a few seconds after processing completes. To see the document in the report, refresh the report. For an XLSX report, open it in Microsoft Excel and click Data > Refresh All. The operation may take some time, depending on the size of your Reporting Database.

Does the Reporting service affect system productivity or functionality?

The ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Reporting service slightly slows down the operation of ABBYY FlexiCapture. It also increases the CPU load on the computer hosting the Application Server, and on your ABBYY FlexiCapture database. To stop gathering information for the service, open the Administration and Monitoring Console, delete the string that contains the service address, and then recycle the FlexiCapture 12 Services pool in IIS.

What happens if the Reporting service becomes inaccessible?

Operators notice significant slowdowns across all operations, and service unavailable errors appear in the Windows event log. No data is written to the Reporting Database during a malfunction. When the service comes back up, no data processed while it was down is restored.

Does the Reporting service support multi-tenancy?

Yes. ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Reporting stores information about which tenant was used to process a particular document. In the current version of the service, data for all tenants is recorded into a single database and separated logically.

Can I use my customer’s reporting system?

Yes. You can import data from the Reporting Database into your customer’s reporting system.

Will old reports still be available?

Yes. Old reports remain available through the Administration and Monitoring Console.

What happens to processing data if a document is deleted before it is marked as Processed?

The processing data for that document is deleted from the Reporting Database. Deleting documents that have already been processed does not affect the data stored in the Reporting Database.
