You can build the following reports from the data that the Reporting Service collects.

Populate a sample report with your own data

Each sample report contains information obtained by processing a set of sample documents. Replace that data with your own.

Install and configure the Reporting Service

For more information, see System requirements and installation.

Process some documents

The service collects the processing data that the report draws on.

Open the report in Microsoft Excel

Open the file that contains the report you need.

Open the data model

Click Data on the menu bar, and then select Manage Data Model.

Edit the existing connection

On the Get External Data drop-down menu, click Existing Connections. In the Existing Connections dialog box, find the PowerPivot Data Connections section, select fc_stat, and then click Edit.

Build the connection to the Reporting Database

In the Edit Connection dialog box, click Build, and then enter the connection information:
  1. On the Provider tab, select SQL Server native Client.
  2. Select the appropriate SQL server and database.
  3. Test the connection and save the changes.

Refresh the report

In the Existing Connections dialog box, click Refresh. To refresh all the data in the report, click Data on the menu bar, and then click Refresh All.
