ABBYY Vantage Connector for Alteryx

Download the latest version from the ABBYY Marketplace.

Install the connector

Download the setup file

On the computer where Alteryx is installed, download the ABBYYVantageConnectorForAlteryx<version>.exe setup file.

Run the installer

Run ABBYYVantageConnectorForAlteryx<version>.exe and follow the instructions in the Installation Wizard.

Open the connector installation folder

Go to the connector installation folder. The default location is C:\Program Files\ABBYY Vantage connector for Alteryx.

Run the custom tool package

Run the Abbyy.Alteryx.Vantage.Connector.yxi custom tool package located in the connector installation folder.

Click Install

Click Install. The installer copies the connector files into the folder <ProgramDataFolder>\Alteryx\Tools\Vantage, where ProgramDataFolder is the folder containing the Alteryx program data files. Depending on the installation type, this can be:
  • %APPDATA%\Alteryx\Tools\Vantage – if you are installing the connector for the current user only
  • %PROGRAMDATA%\Alteryx\Tools\Vantage – if you are installing the connector for all users

Copy the connector files into Alteryx

Depending on your installation type, the default Alteryx installation folder is either C:\Program Files\Alteryx\ or C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Alteryx\.
Copy the connector files from the ProgramData folder into the Alteryx installation folder:
  1. Go to the <ProgramDataFolder>\Alteryx\Tools\Vantage folder created by the installer in the previous step.
  2. Copy all files from the <ProgramDataFolder>\Alteryx\Tools\Vantage\bin folder into the bin folder in the Alteryx installation folder.
  3. Copy the file from the <ProgramDataFolder>\Alteryx\Tools\Vantage\plugin folder into the bin\Plugins folder in the Alteryx installation folder.

Restart Alteryx Designer

Restart Alteryx Designer. The Get Result, Get Status, Parse Fields, and Use Skill tools appear on the ABBYY Vantage tab of the Tool Palette.

Upgrade the connector

If you have an older version of ABBYY Vantage Connector for Alteryx, you can upgrade it to a newer version. To upgrade, perform one of the following actions depending on how the connector was installed:
  • Delete the %APPDATA%\Alteryx\Tools\Vantage folder if the connector was installed for the current user.
  • Delete the %PROGRAMDATA%\Alteryx\Tools\Vantage folder if the connector was installed for all users.
After deleting the folder, install the new version by following the installation steps.
