To securely import files using ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud, you need to correctly set up your network. ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud imports files using one of two methods, each with different firewall requirements.

Import via a HotFolder or email (IMAP/SFTP server)

ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud initiates the import, so your resources must be able to integrate with FlexiCapture Cloud. Set up your firewall so that the outbound ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud IP addresses are added to your firewall’s whitelist for inbound connections. This might require assistance from your organization’s IT department. A list of all outbound IP addresses that you can use to configure firewalls in ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud is available at https://www.abbyy.com/flexicapture/outbound-ip-addresses.

Import via ABBYY FlexiCapture Connect or the API

ABBYY FlexiCapture Connect or the API initiates the import, so you need to set up your firewall rules for outbound connections accordingly. This might require assistance from your organization’s IT department. For more information about how to do this in the Windows Firewall service, see the official Microsoft website. ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud supports the recommended TLS 1.2 encryption protocol, which is used to establish a secure connection.
