You can also resize an element by binding two of its borders to parallel rulers. If you bind several elements to parallel rulers, you can resize all the bound elements at once, vertically or horizontally, by the same amount.1
Create two parallel rulers
Use the Horizontal Ruler or Vertical Ruler tool to create two parallel rulers.
2
Bind the borders
Move the rulers or the elements so that the borders you want to resize line up with the rulers. This binds the borders to the rulers.
3
Drag a ruler
Click one of the rulers and drag it while holding down the left mouse button. The elements resize as you move the ruler. Release the mouse when the elements are the right size.
You can change the vertical size of an entry field element only if the Multiple rows option is selected for it.
