Usually, the Verification Station receives processed images. Nevertheless, sometimes it may receive unprocessed or incorrectly processed images. In this case, the Operator can edit them on the Verification Station using one-time editing actions.
Editing images on the Verification Station requires that the pages be sent for re-recognition, which means that all changes made during verification will be lost.
The Autocrop tool automatically finds page borders on an image and crops them. It also corrects skewing and distortions. To automatically crop an image, select one or more pages that need to be cropped in the image window and click the button. Alternatively, select Image → Autocrop in either the Edit menu in the main window or the drop-down menu. This operation will be applied to all selected images.
Unlike the Autocrop tool, this tool is designed for manual cropping, including cropping multiple regions on a single image. To crop an image:
  1. In the image window, select the appropriate page.
  2. Click the button or select Image → Crop in either the Edit menu in the main window or the drop-down menu.
  3. In the dialog box that will appear, draw one or more regions that you want to crop out. All drawn regions will be marked with a rectangular frame. To draw another region inside one of the existing regions, hold down the Ctrl key while drawing it. Deselect a drawn region by holding down the Shift key and left-clicking inside it or on one of its borders.
  4. The image will be cropped when you click Apply in the upper right corner of the dialog box or press Enter. Alternatively, you can left-click outside the image in the dialog box. Each marked area will become a separate page.
  5. Click OK to save your changes or click Cancel to close the dialog box without saving your changes.
