Every menu item in the Scanning Station main window is listed below.
File
| Menu Item | Description |

| New Batch | Creates a new batch. |
| Create Document | Creates a document from pages. |
| Disassemble Document | Disassembles a document, i.e. the pages from this document are placed in the current batch and the document itself is deleted. |
| Scan Pages | Scans images and places the scans into a new batch of the current type. |
| Select and Scan… | Opens the Select and Scan dialog box, where you can launch the scanning process after selecting one of the available scanner sources. |
| Insert Pages | Scans images and places the scans into the selected batch. |
| Stop | Stops the scanning or image import process. |
| Load Images… | Imports images from files. |
| Check Batch Integrity | Verify the batch meets all requirements before export. See Check batch integrity. |
| Send Batch → to Vantage | Exports a batch to ABBYY Vantage. |
| Sending Options… | Opens the Send to ABBYY Vantage dialog box, where export options can be selected. |
| Exit | Quits ABBYY Vantage Scanning Station. |
Edit
| Menu Item | Description |

| Undo | Undoes the previous action. |
| Redo | Redoes the previously undone action. |
| Cut | Cuts the selected items. |
| Copy | Copies the selected items to the Clipboard. |
| Paste | Pastes the items contained in the Clipboard. |
| Delete | Deletes the selected items. |
| Select All | Selects all items. |
| Delete Blank Pages | Deletes all blank pages in the batch. |
| Separate Documents | Separates pages into documents using the options on the Batch Properties tab of the Options dialog box and the batch type’s properties. See Document and batch separation. |
| Run Script | Runs execution of a selected script. |

View Options

| Status Bar | Shows/hides the Status bar. |
| Show Batches of Selected Type | Toggles between showing only the selected batch type’s batches and showing all batches. |
| Show Document Types instead of Names | Shows document types instead of default numerical names. |
| Collapse | Collapses the tree diagram in the Batches window. |
| Expand All | Expands the tree diagram in the Batches window. |

| Go to Previous Page | Moves the selection to the previous page. |
| Go to Next Page | Moves the selection to the next page. |
| Go to Previous Document | Moves the selection to the previous document. |

Scale

| Zoom In | Makes the image twice as large. |
| Zoom Out | Halves the image size. |
| Scaled Up | Displays one scaled-up page. |
| One Page | Displays only one page. |
| Large Thumbnails | Displays pages as large thumbnail images. |
| Medium Thumbnails | Displays pages as medium-sized thumbnail images. |
| Small Thumbnails | Displays pages as small thumbnail images. |
| Extra-Small Thumbnails | Displays pages as very small thumbnail images. |
Page
| Menu Item | Description |

| Autocrop | Automatically searches for page boundaries on an image, crops the area that contains data for extraction, corrects skews and distortions. |
| Crop | Crops the selected page. |
| Split | Splits an image horizontally/vertically for the selected number of separate pages. |
| Redact | Obscures an area on a page with a color rectangle. You can select the color in Tools > Options… > General > Redaction color. |
| Rotate 90° Clockwise | Rotates the selected pages 90° clockwise. |
| Rotate 90° Counterclockwise | Rotates the selected pages 90° counterclockwise. |
| Rotate 180° | Rotates the selected pages by 180°. |
| Flip Horizontally | Flips the selected pages relative to the vertical axis. |
| Flip Vertically | Flips the selected pages relative to the horizontal axis. |
| Invert | Inverts the colors on the selected pages. |
| Remove ISO noise | Removes noise from an image. |
| Remove Motion Blur | Removes blur that occurs when moving a document or a camera/scanner. |
| Whiten Background | Whitens the background of an image. |
| Equalize Brightness | Equalizes brightness of an image. |
| Remove Color Marks | Removes all color marks from an image. |
| Deskew | Corrects the skew on the selected pages. |
| Remove Geometrical Distortions | Removes geometrical distortions. |
| Remove Scanner Shadow | Removes scanner shadow from an image. |
| Brightness and Contrast | Opens a dialog to configure brightness and contrast. |
| Autoadjust Levels | Automatically adjusts the color levels of the image in order to improve readability. |
| Black & White | Converts the selected pages to black and white. |
| Despeckle | Removes small extra elements (specks) from the selected images. |
| Change Resolution… | Sets a new image resolution (in DPI) for the selected page(s). |
| Apply Processing Profile | Opens the Select Processing Profile dialog box, where you can pick a processing profile to apply. |
| Load Full-Size Thumbnail | Loads thumbnails for selected page(s). |
| Properties… | Displays properties of the selected item:
• Page → Page Properties dialog box
• Document → Document Properties dialog box
• Batch → Batch Properties dialog box |
| Menu Item | Description |

| Batch Types… | Opens the Batch Types dialog box, where you can manage batch types: create new batch types, adjust existing batch types, import batch types, and export batch types. |
| Processing Profiles… | Opens the Processing Profiles dialog box, where you can manage existing processing profiles and create new ones. |
| Options… | Opens the Options dialog box, where you can select various program options for batch creation and export, background processing, and others. |
