Use this dialog box to configure your scanner when you’ve chosen the Scanning Station scanner interface rather than the native driver interface.

Scanner settings

OptionDescription
Resolution (drop-down list)Sets the resolution of scanned images. Use higher resolutions for small-font text.
Color mode (drop-down list)Color mode for scanning. Gray mode works best for OCR.
Compression (drop-down list)Compression for scanned images.
Rotation (drop-down list)Rotates scanned images.
Color dropoutRemoves a specific color from scans. Choose Red, Green, Blue, or None. None keeps all colors.
Brightness (drop-down list)Switches between automatic and manual brightness adjustment. To change the level manually, move the slider below the drop-down list.

Paper settings

OptionDescription
Paper size (drop-down list)Paper size for scanning.
If none of the suggested paper sizes suits your needs, choose Custom… from the list and specify the height and width in the Custom Paper Size dialog box.

Multi-page scanning

OptionDescription
Use automatic document feeder (ADF)Select if you’re using an ADF-equipped scanner.
Duplex scanningSelect for duplex (two-sided) scanning.
Pause for N seconds after each pagePause for the specified number of seconds between pages. Enter the interval in the adjacent input.

Actions

  • Preview — scans a single page and shows it in the preview window above the button, so you can check settings before a full run.
  • Close — returns to the scanner profile properties.
