Before you create the FlexiLayout, decide which image objects can identify the beginning and the end of the document and locate the required data fields. Rely only on the graphical and text objects that pre-recognition detects consistently on the images. Special Header and Footer elements can detect the beginning and the end of a document. Each one can consist of one or more elements that unambiguously identify the document’s beginning or end.

Run pre-recognition

1

Select the images

Select all the images in the batch.
2

Start pre-recognition

Select the Prerecognize command from the Batch menu or the image’s shortcut menu. For more information about pre-recognition, see Sample 1, Step 4.
3

Examine the pre-recognition results

All the text objects that correspond to the field names, column names, and horizontal separators are detected reliably, so you can use them as starting points to look for other objects on the images. For more information about viewing images and pre-recognition results, see Sample 1, Step 5 and Step 6.
Now you can create and set up reference elements and search constraints for the blocks that correspond to the data fields. Activate the FlexiLayout window and go to the next step.
