You can constrain the dates allowed in a date field by using rules. To add a rule, click Add… on the Constraints tab of the element properties. In the Validation Rule: Select Rule Definition window, double-click Create New Rule… in the Date Interval list. The Date Interval Rule dialog box opens.

  • Rename… – Renames the rule. Enter a new name and click OK.
  • From … to – Manages the list of date intervals:
    • Add – Adds the entered date interval to the list.
    • Remove – Removes the selected interval from the list.
  • Error message – Select Generate automatically to generate the error message text automatically, or clear it to enter custom text.
