Edit a picture - ABBYY Documentation

Change the properties of a picture in the Element Properties window in the bottom right corner of the main window. The window is shown only when View → Element Properties is selected.

Element

Property	Description
Type	Picture.
ID	A unique identifier of the element.

Position and size

Property	Description
Left	Sets the distance between the left edge of the form and the element.
Top	Sets the distance between the top edge of the form and the element.
Width	Sets the width of the picture.
Height	Sets the height of the picture.

Picture

Property	Description
Size mode	Sets how the element resizes the picture: Clip, Stretch, or Zoom.
Alignment	Aligns the image in the element: Top Left, Top Right, Center, Bottom Left, or Bottom Right.
Source	The source image file. Click … and browse to the image file.

Size modes

Mode	Description
Clip	Resizes the element without changing the picture’s size or proportions. If the element is smaller than the picture, part of the picture is hidden.
Stretch	Resizes the element and shrinks or stretches the picture to fit. The whole image is always shown, but its proportions are not preserved.
Zoom	Resizes the element and scales the picture proportionally. The whole image is always shown and its proportions are preserved.

Background

Property	Description
Same as form background	Makes the element background the same color as the form background.
Other	Selects a background color from the drop-down list (dropout forms) or the palette (color forms).

The range of available colors depends on the type of your form (black and white or color).
