An anchor is an element of a machine-readable form that is used for matching a form with its template and determining its orientation during processing. Adding anchors to a form is an important stage of form design. ABBYY FormDesigner offers two types of anchor: black squares and corners. A form can use only one type of anchor. When you choose the anchor type, you also set its properties:
  • Size – The length of each side of the black square or corner.
  • Line width – The line width of each side of the corner (not applicable to black squares).
