After you create a project, upload it to the Application Server. Uploading copies the project settings, Document Definition files, dictionaries, and other service data to the server.
Uploading does not copy batches that already exist in the project.
To upload a project, click File → Upload Project to Server… on the main menu of the Project Setup Station. In the dialog box that opens, specify:
  • The server URL (for example, https://<ApplicationServer>, where <ApplicationServer> is the name of the computer running the Application Server) and the authentication type.
  • The Tenant name.
Only the Administrator can create new projects. The project setup Operator can only configure existing ones. After you upload the project and the Administrator grants the station Operators their permissions, the project setup Operator opens the project from the server (click File → Open Project from Server…). The Operator then configures it, for example by creating Document Definitions and setting up import profiles and export settings.

Project folder path requirements

For export to succeed, specify the project folder path in UNC format (\\computer_name\share_name[\path]) after you upload the project. Make sure every station involved in the export can access that folder. A path in the format \[path] causes export errors. A relative path makes the data accessible only via the API. To reach it by other methods, set the root folder for relative paths in UNC format when you configure the project properties. For more information, see Work with tenants.
