Before you can process your documents, create a project. A project includes:
  • Image import profiles
  • One or more Document Definitions
  • Batch types
After you create a project, upload it to the Application Server. Create projects on the Project Setup Station and upload them to the Application Server via the Administration and Monitoring Console. When you launch ABBYY FlexiCapture, the Open Project dialog box opens, where you can select an existing project or create a new one.
If you open a project created in an earlier version of ABBYY FlexiCapture, the project is converted to the new format required by your current version, and you can no longer use it in earlier versions. The version used to create a project is recorded in the Project.version.txt file, which is created for each new project and stored in the Attachments folder. This file is updated whenever you open the project in a newer version or download the latest version of the project from the Application Server.
If ABBYY FlexiCapture is already running with a project open, select File → New Project to create a new one.
