A checkmark group combines logically linked checkmarks, normally corresponding to mutually exclusive answers to the same question. In this case, ABBYY FlexiCapture selects one checkmark from the group and exports its value. However, selecting a single checkmark is not required. You can allow more than one checkmark to be selected in a group by enabling the relevant option in the checkmark group properties. You can create a checkmark group in one of the following ways.

Group checkmarks you have already created

1

Create the checkmarks

Select the checkmark tool and create the checkmarks that belong to the group.
2

Frame the checkmarks

Select the checkmark group tool and frame all the checkmarks to include in the group with a rectangle.
The checkmarks inside the rectangle are highlighted. Their names in the document structure are combined under the name of the checkmark group. The properties of checkmarks in the same group are identical and cannot be edited individually.

Detect checkmarks automatically

Without framing each checkmark individually, select the checkmark group tool and frame all the checkmarks to include in the group with a rectangle. The checkmarks inside the rectangle are detected automatically, named, and combined into a group.
