Error indicators
For each document, a list of errors appears. Each error type has an icon, with the number of errors of that type next to it:
If an error occurs while documents are processed, the error message appears above the page thumbnails in the batch editor.
Confirm low-confidence pages
If a document contains a page recognized with low confidence, the page name and the document name are marked in red, and ABBYY FlexiCapture displays an assembly error for the document. Confirm low-confidence pages in one of the following ways:- To confirm one low-confidence page, right-click the page and click Confirm Page Section on the shortcut menu.
- To confirm all low-confidence pages, right-click the document and click Confirm Document Definition on the shortcut menu.
Group pages into one section
If a multipage document is recognized as a collection of documents, or the wrong section is selected for some pages, the wrong Document Definition has been selected. To fix the error, group the faulty pages into one section:1
Gather the pages into one document
Gather all the pages into one document, arranging them in the right order.

Select pages that belong to the same section
Select the pages that belong to the same section.

Group the selected pages
Right-click the selection and click Group into Section on the shortcut menu.
Adjust the document image display
By default, pages are displayed in black and white. To change the scale of the selected page’s image, hover the mouse pointer over the document image pane, hold down the Ctrl key, and scroll the mouse wheel. Scrolling the mouse wheel without holding down the Ctrl key moves the image vertically. To view images in color, use the pane’s shortcut menu: display the current page in color, or switch all pages to color.Document and page editing tools
Use the following toolbar buttons to correct document assembly errors.Reorder pages
To change the order of pages, select one or more pages to move, and then hold down the left mouse button and drag them to a new position.To select multiple consecutive pages, select the first page, hold down the Shift key, and select the last page. To select multiple non-consecutive pages, hold down the Ctrl key and click each page.
Rotate pages
To rotate the selected pages, use the corresponding shortcut menu commands. You can rotate pages 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise, or 180°.Delete pages
To delete pages, select them and clickChange the matched Document Definition
To change the matched Document Definition, select one or more documents using the selection fields to the left of the document names, clickChange the matched section
To change the section matched on pages, select the pages and clickTo apply the changes, send the batch that contains the page to the re-recognition stage, or re-recognize at the current stage.
Recognize a document again
You can recognize a document again without creating a new task. A second recognition is required when you modify a Document Definition, reset recognition results, or update a Document Definition to the latest version. To recognize a document, do one of the following:- Click Recognize on the data form.
- Click the
button on the top toolbar. - Select Recognize on the document’s shortcut menu.
- Select a document and press Ctrl+R.
If you modify a Document Definition before starting recognition, you can revert to the previous Document Definition by clicking the corresponding button on the data form.
Merge documents
To merge documents, select them using the selection fields to the left of the document names and clickSplit a document

Activate split mode
Click
to activate split mode.

Position the separator
Hover the mouse pointer over the space between the page thumbnails where you want to split the document. A separator appears.

Exit split mode
Click
again to exit split mode.
Apply changes
When you are finished, clickManage the verification task
When processing a verification task, you may also need to send it to another processing stage, postpone or cancel the task, or get information about the task or the batch. Use the buttons in the right-hand section of the screen.Send a task to another stage
Send a task to another stage in the following cases:- You cannot process the task yourself. Click the
button to send the task to Exceptions. - You cannot perform verification because of the poor quality of the source images. Click the
button to send the task to the rescanning stage. - The task must be processed at another stage. A senior verification operator can send the task to any processing stage they see fit by clicking the
button.
When you send a task to Exceptions, to the rescanning stage, or to any other stage, a dialog box opens where you specify the sending options.
Postpone or cancel a task
Postpone or cancel a task in these cases:- You cannot process the task right now. Postpone it by clicking the
button. A postponed task is available only to you; no other Operator can process it until it is returned to the queue. - You want to return the task to the queue for other Operators. Cancel it by clicking the
button.
Complete a task
After you perform all the required actions, click theReceive tasks automatically
To continuously process document batches, turn on the Receive tasks automatically toggle in the task view:
– enabled
– disabled
- If a queue contains tasks available to you, you receive them after the current task is completed.
- If you received the first task from the general queue by clicking Get any task, the next task is taken from the general queue when automatic mode is enabled.
- If you received the first task from a specific queue, the next task is taken from the same queue when automatic mode is enabled.
