About the Batches view
To access a particular batch, open the Queues page and click the Batches button on the toolbar at the top of the page. This opens the Batches page. You may need to access a particular batch, for example, to send it to a processing stage. On the Batches page, you can see the batches related to the selected project, with detailed information for each batch. To edit the batch contents, send the batch to a processing stage. In the dialog box that opens, assign the task to yourself. Specify one of the following parameters:-
Set the maximum priority for the task. You can then take the task into processing from the queues view by clicking the Get task or Get any task button.
Note: Tasks that are overdue or about to become overdue are processed ahead of the other tasks in their respective queue. The only exception to this rule are tasks with the extra-high priority, which are processed ahead of the overdue batches. - Enter a comment for the task. You can then find the task by its comment when viewing the queue contents.
You can also find the task by the name of the batch associated with the task.
Any file can be attached to a batch. For example, you can attach a document scan with a description of the batch.
Batch priority
The Priority link at the top of the page lets you quickly change the priority for several selected batches at once. To change the priority, select the batches, click the link, and specify a new priority in the dialog box that opens. Batch priority affects the priority of tasks created from the batch documents, which in turn affects the order in which tasks are processed in the queue. Priority changes made with the Priority link affect only newly created tasks. For example, if you change the priority of a batch in the Verification stage, the new priority is set for the tasks in all subsequent stages. However, the priority of tasks in the Verification stage does not change, because those tasks are already in the queue. To increase the batch priority in the current stage, click the Send to Stage link. In the dialog box that opens, specify the current processing stage and a new priority for the task. To perform operations on the documents in a batch, go to the batch documents list. To do so, click the link with the name of the required batch. On the page that opens, click the link with the task identifier if you want to process the document. To send the document to a stage, edit document properties, or delete the document, select the document from the list and perform the required actions.Find batches in the list
To display batches more conveniently, use a filter. Batches can be filtered by the processing stage, creation date, batch or document identifier, and other criteria. To do so, select the required filter, enter values (time period, processing stage, part of the batch name, and so on), and click the Show button. If the project contains a large number of batches, they are displayed in groups of 10, 50, or 100 batches. To set the number of batches shown, use the Show N drop-down list. To check if there are new batches in the list, click theProcess a specific batch quickly
You may need to find a particular batch and process it quickly. To do so, find the batch in the list using a filter. Perform one of the following actions:- Click the Send to Stage link, and in the dialog box that opens, set the highest priority for the batch. The batch is then processed by Operators or stations in the current stage as quickly as possible.
- Increase the batch priority in the batch properties or by clicking the Priority link. The batch is then processed faster in subsequent stages, because the tasks created from the batch have a high priority.
- To process a batch yourself, click the Send to Exceptions link, switch to the queues view, and take the task you want to process.
