The Document AI API contains a set of built-in models that can extract data from certain document types. A model is a pre-trained technology that “understands” business documents and extracts actionable data and insights. Each model page includes:

  • Usage: How to process documents using the chosen model.
  • Extracted Fields: The data extracted from a processed document.
  • Validation Rules: Rules that the model runs while processing the document. If a validation rule fails, the processing fails and will return an error message explaining what needs to be fixed.
  • Supported Languages: The countries and languages that the model understands.
