Create the ShortFooter element

Create the Static Text element

In the InvoiceFooter element, create an optional Static Text element and name it ShortFooter.

Enter the search text

Click the Static Text tab. In the Search text field, type Total.

Exclude the ExtraTag region

Click the Search Constraints tab and exclude the already detected ExtraTag element from the search area of the ShortFooter element. This prevents FlexiLayout Studio from finding the word Total in the table name:
  • Click Add… next to the Exclude regions of elements field.
  • Select ExtraTag from the list of elements.
  • Click OK. The SearchElements.InvoiceFooter.ExtraTag string appears in the Exclude regions of elements field.

Add a position relation

Because the search text always appears below the Description column name, click the Relations tab and specify this relation:
  • Below the AddTag element, Offset = 100.

Add the fallback constraint

The ShortFooter element is searched for only if LongFooter is not detected. To implement this condition, specify the following in Advanced pre-search relations: do not search for the element if LongFooter is detected. In the FlexiLayout language:
