Identifiers determine which form a page belongs to. They are used to select a Document Definition when the batch contains several Document Definitions with the same set of anchors. When several forms are processed in a single flow, ABBYY FlexiCapture determines which form a page belongs to based on the location of the identifiers. If an anchor barcode or anchor text is used as an identifier, you can specify the value of that identifier. When a Document Definition is applied, FlexiCapture compares the recognized data in the image with the identifier value, and the Document Definition matches only when the values match. Set identifier values in the properties dialog box of the static element, on the General tab. Values of text and barcodes can be entered automatically. Use the Hint button for this.
If a page can be identified with certainty based on element location alone, you do not need to set the values. Use this functionality only when necessary. Assigning an identifier value launches the recognition module when the Document Definition is applied, which slows down the matching of Document Definitions with images.
