Only the user who created a test batch can work with that test batch. If required, a working batch can be used as a test batch, in which case it serves as a source of images for the test batch.
Test in the Document Definition editor
You can test a Document Definition directly in the Document Definition editor, on the image used to create it. To start the test, select Testing → Run Test. The data form appears as during document processing, showing format errors, uncertain characters, and rule errors. Use the Testing → View menu to rearrange the windows, and the Testing → Verification menu to navigate the verification items, uncertain characters, and rule errors. To stop testing, click Close or select Testing → Finish Test.In testing mode, changing a field border does not re-recognize the field, unlike changing field borders in the document window.
Test on a test batch
To test your Document Definition on other images, select a test batch in the Document Definition editor (Batch → Switch to Test Batch). Before the batch selection dialog box appears, ABBYY FlexiCapture checks the current Document Definition for errors. If the Document Definition is error-free, it is saved and the batch selection dialog box appears. When you select a batch, the main window becomes active and switches to it.For test batches, the Enable auto export option is turned off by default. This prevents test results from being accidentally saved to the folders of a working project.
Copy or move documents between batches
You can copy or move documents between batches, for example from a working batch to a test batch for debugging. All information about the document, such as the matched Document Definition and recognized data, is preserved. To copy or move documents, select them in the batch contents list. Press Ctrl+C to copy or Ctrl+X to move (or use the Copy and Cut buttons on the toolbar, or the Copy and Cut commands on the Edit menu). Then open the target batch and press Ctrl+V (or use the Paste button on the toolbar, or Edit → Paste). What testing verifies
During testing, perform the entire sequence of actions you perform when processing documents. Testing then verifies that:- Enough anchors and identifiers are marked for the Document Definition to be applied reliably.
- The field properties are configured correctly.
- The rules are configured correctly.
- Export is configured correctly.
