OCR Languages Tab

On the OCR Languages tab:
  • Recognition languages (the default languages are English, French, German, and Spanish). If you enable a language, it will only be applied to the documents uploaded afterwards.
  • Handwritten text recognition. This feature is enabled by default. For skills created in ABBYY Vantage and ABBYY Vantage Advanced Designer, handwritten text recognition is only available for the languages listed in the specifications. For skills created using FlexiLayouts, this option is available for languages that were specified when creating the FlexiLayout. One of the supported languages should also be selected in the skill’s list of recognition languages. For more about handwritten text recognition, see the Vantage Skill Designer Guide.
Note: In a derived skill, you can’t add new languages or enable handwritten text recognition if it’s disabled in its base skill, see Configuring text recognition.
