ABBYY Vantage Manual Review client is an application designed to let you manually verify documents. Manual Review is the process of verifying that all recognized data is correct and that it satisfies all relevant rules. Manual review can be carried out via the app by users (Manual Review Operators) that have the relevant permissions set up. The system then “learns” from the error correction process, allowing further document processing to have less errors and require less time to manually verify. To improve the process of document verification, manual review may include several stages processed by different users. For example, at the first stage, low-qualified workers check extracted data. Next, at the second stage, a more qualified expert checks documents containing rule errors (if data is extracted correctly). This approach reduces dwell time and the likelihood of errors. To distribute tasks, Tenant Admins can grant the role of Manual Review Opator with different access rights to a specific list of skills and stages, as well as to all skills and stages. A user with the Manual Review Operator role can have access to all or some specified skills and stages. The process of manually reviewing documents consists of the following steps:
  1. The Manual Review Operator launches the application and receives a task, which contains a set of documents with automatically assigned document types and extracted data.
  2. The Operator verifies the document type, the recognized data, and the extracted values. When necessary, the Operator also modifies the document type, corrects the data form, and adjusts the field region on the document image.
  3. Once the manual review is complete, the Operator completes the task. If the task required to be checked by another operator (for example, by more qualified expert), the Operator can send task to the next operator or stage, as described in Manually Reviewing Documents in ABBYY Vantage.
