Enable Online Learning for skills producing poor classification or field-extraction results. Online Learning can significantly improve accuracy, but may slow down document processing. You enable Online Learning when configuring a Process skill. Configure it separately for Classification skills and Document skills.Documentation Index

Online Learning relies on corrections made during Manual Review, so the Process skill must include a Manual Review step.
Enable Online Learning
Select the skill and turn on Collect documents and learn in either the Actions pane or the skill preview pane.

Online Learning is not available for skills designed to process structured documents. For these skills, the Collect documents and learn option is disabled — the system still collects documents, but does not learn from them.
If Manual Review is not configured
If your Process skill does not include a Manual Review activity, the Collect documents and learn toggle is grayed out and the Actions pane displays this message:
If the same skill is used in multiple Process skills, turn on Collect documents and learn in each Process skill. This ensures that the skill benefits from Online Learning regardless of which Process skill is active.
After enabling Online Learning
After you enable Online Learning and operators begin making corrections during manual review, the system starts accumulating documents in the skill’s training set. Online Learning results appear in the Results tab of the Classification Skill Editor or the Document Skill Editor. You can also review the collected documents directly in the Skill Editor.Related topics
