Working with ABBYY FormDesigner
Publishing a Form
Publish a form in ABBYY FormDesigner to lock it against editing, verify machine-readability, and assign a unique ID; save an editable copy when needed.
When publishing a form, you assign it Published status, which prohibits changes to the form. At the same time the form will be checked for machine-readability and assigned a unique identification number.
To publish a form, select Publish Form on the File menu.
Published forms are read-only. To be able to make changes to a published form, select Save Editable Copy As… on the File menu. You will be asked to save your form under a different name before you can make any changes to its design.
For more information, please refer to Saving and Publishing a Form; Checking a Form for Machine-Readability.
