Use the Administration and Monitoring Console to set up the entire complex and monitor its operation. It is a web interface, available to users of the Application Server, that provides access to the server through a browser. You can open the console on any computer that can access the Application Server by typing https://<ApplicationServer>/FlexiCapture12/Monitoring in the browser, where <ApplicationServer> is the name of the computer on which the Application Server is installed.
For the correct operation of the Administration and Monitoring Console, make sure that your browser allows the use of JavaScript and pop-up windows.

Set up the complex

The Administration and Monitoring Console opens as soon as the Application Server is installed, so the Operator can establish a database connection. Besides connecting to a database, the Administrator must set up user access permissions and distribute the Operator roles.
The Operators Manager can also set up access permissions and distribute Operator roles.
Permissions for the Administrator, Monitoring Operator, and Processing Server roles apply to all projects, so you can set them up as soon as the database connection is established. Permissions for all other Operators are granted per project, so before you can add those Operators, you must create projects and upload them to the Application Server.
Access permissions granted to a Monitoring Operator have the following restrictions:
  • On the Monitoring → Sessions page, viewing is allowed but deleting sessions is not.
  • On the Monitoring → Batches page, viewing is allowed but deleting batches is not.
  • Viewing the Settings tab pages (Application Server, Cleanup, Out-of-Processing Documents, Event logging mode, Users, Groups, Requests) is not allowed.

Monitor the complex

After the complex is set up, the Administration and Monitoring Console can be used to monitor the operation of the complex, that is, to track its current status and generate reports. Based on the current status, the Administrator makes changes to the configuration or reallocates resources. The Administrator can review the statuses of Batches, Tasks, Sessions, Current processing status, Event log, and Error log. To review the statuses, select a project and then select the appropriate item from the Monitoring menu. The resulting list can be viewed on screen, printed, or saved in CSV format.

Reports

Besides monitoring the current status, the Monitoring Operator can generate reports about the operation of the complex.
