Depending on your processing needs, you can place scanned documents in a single batch or in several batches. All batches belong to a particular batch type. A batch type is a collection of settings that determine how a document is scanned, processed, and exported.
1

Create a new batch

Select the batch type in the Selected batch type field on the toolbar. To create a batch of the selected type, select File → New Batch or press Ctrl+N. If the batch type properties require registration parameters, you are prompted to enter the registration parameters.Depending on the batch type settings, a new batch can be created automatically when scanning starts or after a certain number of pages have been scanned.
2

Start the scanning process

On the toolbar, select the newly created batch type to make it current, then click Scan. For more information, see Scan images.
3

Export the scanned documents

When scanning is finished, click Send To on the toolbar. If the batch type settings require checking the batch before export, you cannot export it until it meets the requirements, for example, until all required registration parameters are filled in. For more information, see Export batches.
For more information about batch processing settings, see Process documents with global settings. For instructions on editing batches, documents, and pages, see Work with documents, batches, and pages.
