Classification technology lets ABBYY FlexiCapture detect the class of an input document, so the document can be matched to the appropriate Document Definition and have its data extracted. FlexiCapture classifies one page at a time, and the classified pages can then be assembled into documents based on their class and processed as usual.
Classifying a page (including in Classification Training mode) also recognizes it, which decrements the page counter. Further operations on the page do not affect the page counter.
1

Set up the classifier

Set up the classifier based on how you want to use it.
2

Load the images

Load the images into the classifier.
3

Train the classifier

Train the classifier. To assess quality, create a test batch of documents that were not used in training, and then classify them with the trained classifier.
4

Analyze the results

Analyze the classification statistics and adjust the classifier settings if needed.
5

Map classes to Document Definition sections

Map the classes to the appropriate Document Definition sections.
If needed, you can also export the classifier to ABBYY FlexiLayout Studio.
