Verification is the checking of captured data by an Operator. ABBYY FlexiCapture highlights unreliably recognized characters in red and asks the Operator to confirm or correct them, showing them together with their original images. You can also configure FlexiCapture to submit certain fields for verification even when they contain no unreliably recognized characters, or to skip verification for certain fields even when they do. By default, all fields described in a Document Definition are submitted for verification. Configure a field’s verification on the Verification tab of its properties dialog box. To verify a field, keep the Requires verification option selected, and then choose how characters are shown to the Verification Operator:

Group verification

If group verification is required, select Send to group verification. Then specify which characters to submit (Highlighted characters only or All characters) and which character set (Digits only or Custom). To modify the custom character set, click Modify and type the characters in the Group Verification Charset dialog box.

Field verification

If field verification is required, select Send to field verification. Then specify when the field is submitted:

Field verification of a group of fields

To submit the field for field verification as part of a group, specify the group name in the Name of field group field. You also need to select the Group fields on Field Verification option on the Verification tab of the Project Properties dialog box.

Double verification

To have the field verified independently by two Operators, select Requires double verification.
