Every batch belongs to a batch type. A batch type is a collection of settings that determine how a document is scanned, processed, and exported.

Before you begin

A batch type must already exist. Batch types are usually created by the Administrator, though an Operator can also create them if granted permission.

Create the batch

Select a batch type

On the main window toolbar, pick a type from the Selected batch type field.

Create the batch

Choose File > New Batch, or press Ctrl+N.

Enter registration parameters (if prompted)

If the batch type requires it, enter the registration parameters when prompted.
Depending on the batch type settings, a new batch can also be created automatically — either when scanning starts or after a set number of pages have been scanned.
