Once scanning and separation are done, send the batches to ABBYY Vantage for processing. Scanning Station runs an integrity check first — a batch can’t be sent until it passes.

Set up export options

  1. Choose File > Sending Options… to open the Send to ABBYY Vantage dialog box.
  2. Enter the address of your ABBYY Vantage server in Server, or pick one from the drop-down.
  3. In the Skill section, select the skill that should process the documents.
Only Process skills can be used to process images exported from Scanning Station.
You can also set export options per batch type, so different batch types can export to different servers or skills by default.

Export a batch

  • Use the last-used options: click Send to Vantage on the main window toolbar.
  • Pick different options this time: click the arrow next to Send to Vantage, choose the options, then click OK. You can also use File > Send Batch.
To cancel an in-progress export, right-click the batch and choose Cancel Export.

After export

Each batch is processed in Vantage as a single transaction, regardless of how many documents it contains. If you want a document processed as its own transaction, put its pages in a separate batch. Page order is preserved when batches are exported. Once export finishes, view the results in Vantage — and correct any extracted values if needed. See Manual Review.

Optional settings

  • Delete batches automatically after a successful export — on Tools > Options…, turn on Delete batch automatically after sending on the General tab.
  • Configure background export — on the Sending Tasks tab of the Options dialog box.
