Determine the type of document received by ABBYY Vantage for processing.
The Classify activity is used to determine the type of document received by ABBYY Vantage for processing. This is done using a Classification skill from the Skill Catalog.Use the Actions pane to specify which Classification skill from the Skill Catalog to use.
Note: Only published skills are displayed in the list of available skills.
Once you have specified the Classification skill, a list of classes displays in the Actions pane. By default, all classes are selected, however, you can modify that selection to a custom number of classes. Each selected class must be connected to an appropriate Document skill. Documents of excluded types are not be processed. Exclude specific document types when there are document types that are not required for processing your documents (if you are not able to retrain your Classification skill).If you cannot find a suitable skill in the Skill Catalog, you can create a new one by clicking the Create New Skill button at the bottom of the Actions pane. This displays a form where you need to specify a name for your new skill and fill out a list of required skills. Once you have done that, click the Done button. Your new skill is automatically selected as the Classification skill for the Process skill and is also be added to the Skill Catalog.
If the processing skill requires a verification step, you can enable online training for your skill by selecting the appropriate option in the Actions pane. Doing so will automatically use manual processing results to improve the precision of your skill. For more information, see the Runtime Guide.
