Distributed verification restricts the set of fields that require verification at a stage. You can use it in the Verification and Data Verification stage types. Creating custom processing stages based on these types lets you process different document fields at different stages. Set up the rule for sending a document to a stage with a script.

Create a field set for distributed verification

1

Select the fields for the stage

Open the Field Set tab of the stage properties dialog box. Use the > and >> buttons to build the set of fields for the stage.
2

Set the entry conditions

On the Entry Conditions tab, specify whether documents are processed at this stage: Always or Never. You can also build a set of conditions instead. For more information, see Entry conditions.
3

Set the exit routes

On the Exit Routes tab, specify the next stage for the document. You can also specify conditions that determine whether documents are processed at other stages.

How restricted field sets affect error reporting

Keep the following in mind when you use distributed verification:
  • The Errors window shows information about an error only when at least one field associated with that error is in the data set available to the operator. When no associated field is in the set, the operator is not told that the document contains errors.
  • When only some of the fields associated with an error are outside the field set, the Errors window still reports the error, but the operator cannot go to the out-of-set field to correct it.

Hide the page image outside selected fields

To enforce a high security level at the Data verification stage, select the Hide page image outside selected fields option. Only the fields in the specified field set are then available to the operator, and all other fields are hidden. When this option is selected and the field region was detected incorrectly or with a shift during Document Definition matching, the operator can be unable to verify the field. The operator should then send the image to the Exceptions stage.
