Text field recognition options

Set recognition properties on the Recognition tab of the field properties dialog box. To open it, click Properties on the field’s shortcut menu. Correctly determined field values improve recognition quality and reduce errors. In the Filling type field, select the recognition mode.

Mode	When to use
Standard recognition	Regular document fields. For more information, see Standard recognition options.
Do not recognize	Fields that cannot be recognized (for example, text made of fused letters). The field is not recognized, and the Operator enters its value during verification, so you do not need to configure other recognition properties.
Script recognition	A custom recognition or initialization algorithm. For more information, see Custom recognition script.
Handwritten text recognition	Fields containing handwritten or hand-printed text. For more information, see Handwritten text recognition.
