Why processing delays happen

Several situations stall a batch:
  • An operator opened a task a long time ago but has not started working on it.
  • An operator has too many tasks assigned to them.
  • An operator postponed a task a long time ago and has not resumed work on it.
  • A station closed unexpectedly or malfunctioned, leaving the task hanging.
Any of these can delay the whole batch, or cause you to miss the processing targets in your SLA.
