New rescanning tasks are available. appears on the main toolbar.
The Scanning Station loads information about new rescanning tasks from the server when the station starts and when you open the Rescanning Tasks dialog box. While ABBYY Scanning Station is running, it updates this information every 10 minutes.
To enable sending tasks to Rescanning, select the Rescanning option on the Project Properties → Workflow tab in the Project Setup Station.

Open the Rescanning Tasks dialog box in one of the following ways:- Click Rescanning Tasks on the main toolbar.
- Select Rescanning Tasks on the Tools menu.
- Click the

Select the task
In the Rescanning Tasks dialog box, click Select. The task is added to the Rescanning tab of the Batches window, and the task documents open in the image window. Tasks on the Rescanning tab are grouped by priority.

Load thumbnails (optional)
By default, pages load without thumbnails.You can load thumbnails in two ways:
- For selected pages, click Load Full-Size Thumbnail on the shortcut menu, or use Page → Load Full-Size Thumbnail.
- For all pages automatically, clear the Load rescanned pages with small thumbnails option on the FlexiCapture Server tab of Tools → Options….

Organize the task (optional)
On the Rescanning tab of the Batches window, you can reorder documents by dragging them and delete documents and pages from the task. You cannot change the order of pages within a document.
Rescan pages
To rescan selected pages, use one of the following ways:- Select Rescan Selected Pages on the page shortcut menu.
- Select File → Rescan Selected Pages.
- Click Rescan Pages on the main toolbar.
Change the document or batch type
You can change the type of a document submitted for rescanning. When you change the document type, its registration parameters change accordingly.If the Prohibit changing batch type and registration parameters when rescanning option is selected in Batch Type Properties, you cannot change the type at the rescanning stage.
- Change the batch structure: add or remove documents and pages, and reorder pages in documents.
- Change the batch type in the Batch Type Properties dialog box. The new batch type’s settings replace the old ones, and the batch is processed with the new settings.
- Change the values of batch and document registration parameters that are not read-only.
- You can change the structure of individual documents, but you cannot create a new document or delete an existing one.
- You cannot change the batch type.
- You can change the values of registration parameters of individual documents that are not read-only.
Confirm and send the documents

Move between documents
Use the Previous Document to Rescan and Next Document to Rescan buttons on the main toolbar, or the corresponding commands on the Edit menu.

Confirm each document
Click Confirm Rescanned Document on the main toolbar, or select the corresponding item on the Edit menu. Confirmed page thumbnails display a marker in the bottom-left corner.
If you change the order of documents, confirmation results are reset and you must confirm the rescanned documents again.

Send the documents
When all documents in the task are confirmed, click Send in the Rescanning Tasks dialog box to send the documents to FlexiCapture.
