A script applies the export settings automatically on every ABBYY FlexiCapture station that exports data to Appian.

When to use a script instead of an XML file

An XML file can only hold static settings, whereas a script can vary the file naming rules, file locations, and field mappings according to the data in the exported document. ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud also requires a script, because it cannot store an XML configuration file on the processing stations. For more information about the alternative, see Use an XML file to specify Appian export settings.
Changing the export settings means editing the script, which in turn means publishing a new version of the Document Definition.

Script to use

Use the script named ExportScript - Appian - Configure by script.cs, from the connector files. For a description of every setting in the script, see Appian export settings and field mapping reference.
