A script applies the export settings automatically on every ABBYY FlexiCapture station that exports data to M-Files.

When to use a script instead of an XML file

An XML file can only hold static settings, whereas a script can vary the file naming rules, file locations, and field mappings according to the data in the exported document. ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud also requires a script, because it cannot store an XML configuration file on the processing stations. For more information about the alternative, see Use an XML file to specify M-Files export settings.
Changing the export settings means editing the script, which in turn means publishing a new version of the Document Definition.

Script to use

Use the script named M-Files - ExportScript - Configure by script.cs, in the Samples folder of the connector distribution package. For a description of every setting in the script, see M-Files export settings and field mapping reference.
