The ABBYY FlexiCapture activity in Laserfiche Workflow Designer has three properties.

Activity Description

The description of the activity. This is a default property.

Connection Options

The options for connecting to the ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 server. This is a custom property, and you must complete all of its fields.
The user must have Administrator or Scanning Operator rights in the project and batch type. An ABBYY FlexiCapture administrator sets access rights in the Administration and Monitoring Console. For more information, see Manage user accounts.

Entry

The data source. This is a default property, and it accepts two types of data source.

Starting Entry

The activity acts on the same entries that the workflow received, meaning documents, folders, or shortcuts. For example, when a business process runs, the entry for the activity is the same folder that the workflow received.

Other Entry

The activity acts on entries produced by other activities. Consider a workflow of Find Entries > For Each Entry > ABBYY FlexiCapture. When a business process starts for a folder:
  1. Find Entries receives the folder that all the documents are taken from.
  2. Those documents pass to For Each Entry, which iterates through them and sends them on one at a time.
  3. The ABBYY FlexiCapture activity sends each document it receives to ABBYY FlexiCapture 12.
