An XML file lets you change the export settings without editing the script code or the Document Definition. Editing the XML file is much simpler than editing the script.
The XML file must be present on every ABBYY FlexiCapture processing station, and you have to synchronize it manually across all stations that export data to Pega.

Specify export settings in an XML file

1

Use the XML export script

As your export script, use the file named Pega - ExportScript - Configure by XML.cs from the ZIP archive containing the connector files.
2

Create the XML file

Name the file using this scheme, which lets you keep separate XML files for different Document Definitions:
3

Set the XmlFolder registry value

Work in the registry of the computer that runs the processing station.
  1. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ABBYY\FlexiCapture\12.0\Connectors\Pega.
  2. In its XmlFolder string value field, specify the path to the folder where the settings file is stored.
4

Set the Pega registry value

  1. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ABBYY\FlexiCapture\12.0\Connectors\.
  2. Set its Pega string value field to true.
