How document types map across the two systems

ABBYY FlexiCapture determines the type of each document it processes. A separate Document Definition is typically created for each document type, and it tells the program which fields to capture. Each document in Laserfiche corresponds to a template, which may contain text fields, including typified fields. The default template is named General.

What to specify

ABBYY FlexiCapture creates an export profile for each Document Definition separately. In that profile, specify:
  • The Laserfiche template that documents of this type are exported to
  • How the fields in the Document Definition map to the fields in the Laserfiche template
